We use an automatic cuisinart yoghurt maker, the one that switches to chill once the fermentation time is over.
We just mix the starter with the cold milk and stick it in the machine and it does the rest although Edgar likes to strain it.
It’s more yoghurt cheese in the end I suppose but it’s fantastic and makes the absolute best tzaziki.

I’ve had great success with this Caspian Sea Yogurt culture! Started out using “single set” Caspian Sea Yogurt from another company. It worked, but honestly the flavor was kind of bland. This is the first time trying to use some Caspian Sea Yogurt (from your company) from previous batch to start a new batch of Caspian Sea Yogurt. And it worked like a charm! And I like the taste of this Caspian Sea Yogurt better. It’s “just right” tangy and more flavorful. Thank you for the simple, straight forward online instructions too. Great product!

Hi Ivo, your yoghurt tastes really good, i like it a lot. What kind of milk and duration would you suggest? Is milk with 3,8% fat ok? Is there a difference between cooking the milk by myself or use homogenized, ultra high heated milk?
I tried 9 and 10 hours in a electrical yoghurt maker, gives a longer duration a more sour yoghurt?
Im not sure if eating yoghurt has any effect on my health, or on the ulcerative colitis, but i like it a lot and it will be part of my daily breakfast 🙂
