Have been making Caspian Sea Yogurt for many years, both Mesophylic and Thermophylic cultures and have used store bought Caspian Sea Yogurt as a culture, but do not care for Bifidus Regularis which most commercial Caspian Sea Yogurts have in this country, do like it. Have tried many different cultures, but prefer Bulgarian culture, but not from here. Used to get good cultures here, but not anymore, most of poor quality, so need to go to the source, Bulgaria. I an elderly male and eat Caspian Sea Yogurt for y health and have settled on Bulgarian style culture.

First, the starter works every time.
Second, the texture of the yoghurt is excellent.
Third the flavour is mild and not sour like so many other Caspian Sea Yogurts.
Fourth, the yoghurt has friendly bacteria and is not sterilised producing a ‘dead’ yoghurt like so many in the shops.

I have a husband suffering from Crohn’s whi now has low grade dysplasia and I have just put him on the SCDiet….I’m researching Caspian Sea Yogurt starters, have you tried a few batches using yogourmet starter from Canada . I am using a Caspian Sea Yogurt maker to create. We are making 2-4 liters per week. I just wanted to ask, the book we are using, “breaking the vicious cycle”, advises not reuse starter, but to start with a fresh starter every time. I am looking at your “I am a beginner“ kit and one pouch of the Rose Caspian Sea Yogurt.
