I really like the Greek style. I also add a couple of tablespoons of powdered milk to make it thicker. Better than straining it.
I bought a larger amount of starter last time and I also use my yogurt to start the next batch.

We bought a good supply when you offered a 40% reduction and pot it in the freezer.

Well… Up to now I haven’t received my order ??. It was lost in my currier’s warehouse in Miami.
After few emails they’ve found it and will send it to Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow. I should be able to use it by the end of the week ???

Presently, in order to have a low-carb product I’m straining my yogurt to “yogurt cheese” which supposedly has -0- carbs, and then re-constituting it with half & half (which has no carbs). I replace the whey with carb-free dairy. It makes a milder flavored product, but still very enjoyable.
I know it’s crazy sounding, but in 7 mos. on KETO I’ve lost 45 lbs.(gone from obese to over-weight and still losing); eliminated 50 years of hypertension; eliminated various allergies; reversed my diabetic condition; and improved my blood work results; to name just a few benefits.
But I don’t want to give up yogurt. By elimination test, I’ve determined that I’m not lactose intolerant, so I’m doing whatever I can to keep yogurt and cheese in my diet.
I’ve found a local source for grass-fed, low-temp-pasteurized, non-homogenized whole milk and am pleased with the product.
BTW, I found your site with a “Duck Duck Go” search for Bacillus Bulgaricus. My daughter lived in Europe for a few years and she remembered Bacillus Bulgaricus as being key to the yogurt she enjoyed so much over there.

I am Bulgarian and i guess i am used to certain taste. Also, i like Greek yougurt and i am curious to try your sirene and kashkaval cultures.
I am not a big dairy person though, so i am not exactly the person to provide unbiased opinion.
Anyway,i bought an yogurt and cheese maker and i believe it will help me to avoid the additives in the store bought products.
Probably, this is the main reason why i purchased the cultures from you, i just happend to know about the health benefits of bacilus bulgaricus 🙂

I made the Greek yogurt and it’s delicious. I think it has a sweet taste to it. I added some non fat dry milk powder since I’m using 1% milk and it’s thin. I’ve done that with previous yogurt batches and it seems to come out fine.
