I could not be more pleased with my Bacillus Bulgaricus Bulgarian yogurt starter. The yoghurt is just exactly like really high quality, fresh Greek yoghurt. It comes out a beautiful consistency. Especially if you continue mixing it gently for a couple of minutes after you add the culture. THANK YOU! So cheap and easy for a wonderful product!

I really liked the Greek yogurt. I also made some using a previous batch and it was even better.
The only comment is that I would like it a little thicker. Is this possible? I will try the Skyr next.
Good products. Still enjoying the bread.

Hello, Ivo!
I did like the Greek yogurt, but I still like the Bulgarian yogurt better.
I’m going back to the Bulgarian. Nothing I’ve tried can beat it so far. I’ve just finished making a gallon of it.
Best,

Our yogurt turned out great. We filtered some thru a coffee filter and had nice Greek yogurt. We mashed up done fruit, added it to some yogurt snd made some yummy popsicles. Love it

Hi Ivo, good to hear from you!
I purchased from you four doses of BB and proceeded to experiment with it (my first try to make yogurt from scratch…)
The first try was nothing to write home about: I left the pot with the promised yogurt in the oven with the lamp on (to keep it at a constant and lukewarm temperature) for approximately 24 hours, and in the end there were some signs of the fermentation having happened, but the product was almost liquid and no amount of time in the fridge produced any consistency.
There are a number of factors that, I believe, brought about this dismal result. To begin with, I used some 2% pasteurized milk; I have no way of knowing if it was just pasteurized or UHT which your instructions clearly discourage us to use. Also, I am afraid I did not cool enough the part of the milk where I dissolved the BB, and that may be one more cause for my dissatisfaction.
So I was back to square one and a couple of weeks later I bought some 3.25% pasteurized milk (that is all I can find where we buy our groceries, offered under various brands).
This time I was much more careful with the temperatures and things seemed to work better, but the end result still was nowhere near the real yogurt I thoroughly enjoyed when (in my earlier years) I was travelling to Greece quite often. And I will not compare it with store bought yogurt, which gives me the impression it contains agar-agar or some other densification agents.
This second batch was much better tasting, and the only problem is that it retained a lot of the liquid whey, which looked emulsified and did not separate. So, I ordered a gadget specifically made for separating whey from yogurt during the fermentation process

Just wow. First of all, shipping was only $1.29 and the package arrived in 2 days? Amazing service. Then I made the yogurt (Greek) and it is absolutely outstanding. I followed your recipe to the letter and just wow. At first I was a bit worried it wasn’t going to be thick enough, until I strained it through cheese cloth for a few hours…bingo. Added some honey…seriously
good yogurt. I’ll never go back. Oh, and what a great website…simple, informative, functional, ergonomic with no popups, annoying ads, auto-playing videos or boring essays to slog through to get to the recipes. Just the facts. You have it going on here folks, well done!

Hello, I started making greek yogurt during the start of the covid pandemic, I have always loved Greek Yoghurt because of it’s healthy nature, so when I got the chance to learn, I did and became a producer of Greek Yoghurt in large quantities. Making my yogurt and selling to people gives me great joy .. I wish to see my products in stores and supermarket shelfs. A friend of mine told me about your products and I became interested and looked you up.. Thank You
