I was a little concerned first buying Kefir Starter, since I never made my own kefir before. It turned out perfectly. We have made ever since a few batches using kefir made previously, and every time kefir was thick and delicious. Also, it is pretty easy to make. Thank you so much for an excellent product!
Thanks for the coupon. Will definitely use that one.
Chris –
My first trial didn’t work due to – what I think – UHT milk but with fresh milk it’s all better.
Using this milk we had a delicious result! Really tasty, much more better than Kefir from Supermarkets or other sources.
The first time ever I got the feeling of tickling on my tongue as Champagne should do. Never experienced before with Kefir!
Nigel –
the kefir starter produced the best kefir made so far!
Frank –
The kefir was great!
Marianne Meldgaard –
Perfect, I produce kefir every second day, tastes fantastic.
Barbara Karreth –
Everything is fine!! I am happy with the starter.
Julia –
The kefir made with organic full fat milk is wonderful.
I tried making some with oat milk and it didn’t work at all, do you have any tips?
Claire Jenkinson –
Well, thats very generous of you. I will indeed continue to buy from you and will tell as many people as I can.
Brian –
I was very careful to follow instruction very precisely but using ½ litre milk so half of starter culture powder packet. However after 12 hours there was absolutely no activity and no difference to the texture of the milk. ‘So I threw the rest of the packet contents into the jar and set it back in the boiler cupboard at around 25 degrees for another 8 hours or so and this time I got a result. A very rich creamy jar of Kefir which is now being cooled in the refrigerator. I will order some more starter culture online in the meantime but please advise how this is supposed to work.
Biba –
As for the Kefir Starter, it worked beautifully, and I love it! Worked really well the first time I tried it, and this is the first time ever that I make anything with live cultures.
The taste is just so fantastic. I’m still using the offspring 😉
Helen –
The kefir starter was brilliant, Ive used half of it and put the rest in the freezer- I hope thats what you’re supposed to do. It easy to make and very delicious- creamy.
Pete –
The number one reason is for health. I am a senior and am concerned with my health situation. Also, I really like the taste and am especially fond of the flavor of your culture. My wife and I both eat your yogurt daily for breakfast and sometimes as an evening snack. What a great way to end the day.
I am looking forward to including your Kefir as part of my daily health routine.

First time I try to make my own, and as recommended by my friend, I bought Kefir Starter from this site. I’m pleased to say it was a success and the taste is absolutely delicious! The best I tried, and I tried quite a few. Its creamy and smooth. Making a second batch already.
Will definitely buy other products to try.
Greetings from UK
Ann Wilkinson –
haven’t made the yogurt yet, but did make the Kefir…yum!
Lyle Jean Hadley –
I love the kefir – it turned out perfect, is very smooth, creamy and delicious and to top it off I know it’s healthy!
Jette –
I make my own yoghurt because it tastes good and because of the good bacteria in yoghurt. I also make Kefir for the same reasons..
Faithy –
I’m trying to eat healthier, meaning eat more “live” food, that is as natural as possible and nutritious. One of the things that is healthy and tasty at the same time is yoghurt and all the products from the milk. In particular, I like eating yoghurt that has live cultures in it, and that is full fat. I heard about Bulgarian yoghurt and that is very healthy and tasty, and while chatting to one of my friends he recommended your site.
Elli –
Followed your instruction, Fermented in oven with the light on for 18 hours. Was about 80 degrees in oven. Kefir was fine and thick
Placed in refrigerator to Cool.
24 hours later Kefir is more like yogurt in thickness.
But doesn’t taste like yogurt. Taste very good.
Nina –
It was perfect ??… thanks ?
Andrea Milward –
Thanks for the email. The Kefir turned out great – at the end. I didn’t read the instructions properly to start with and the mixture didn’t thicken as I didn’t heat up the milk to start with. So I put the mixture into the oven with just the light on to give it some constant heat and it worked really well. I have yet to try the yoghurt culture.
Could I ask – if I were to use coconut milk, should I use full fat?
Pete –
Your Kefir was wonderful. Followed instructions to the letter and it came out as expected.
I do have a question. Does the Kefir contain all of the bacteria I have been lead to believe. I have been told there is up to 56 different bacteria in Kefir culture. Would you verify that yours is similar to that.
Thank you for your incredible product and your great service.
Lyle Jean Hadley –
Hi ivo,
I loved the yogurt until I ordered your kefir starter, made my first batch, and have fallen in love with it – no tartness or bitterness and so simple to make.
Your starters are so superior to the ones I purchased at the health stores – love your products and I am spreading the word to friends and family – thank you!
David –
Health and taste!
Leila –
I tried to make my kefir and it turned out to taste very good. I liked that it has a very tender smooth taste.
I also made a picture on my Instagram

Hi Ivo,
It is of course excellent.. As I see it, your biggest problem must be that if people use the end product as a starter for a new batch, you are going to need to sell a lot of starter packs! I only reuse a couple of times, but expect that other people might carry on using again and again – until it turns blue! Same applies to Yogurt.
Are you selling to “health shops” ? – There are a couple around here. I could drop in a business card or something if you like..and tell them how good the product is.
Your product/s and after sales attention are second to none. Free booklet is invaluable.. Please feel free to pass on this comment.
I normally drink about a quarter of a litre or a bit more in a day. It’s great on cereal, (makes a nice porridge), and nice on it’s own – especially with a little honey mixed in.
Keep up the good work. I am trying to “spread the word”..
Nina Tomec –
I liked yours very much! Everything went well and I drink it regularly now.
Anne Ma –
I like it! very much so
Adrian Supple –

Me and my family are drinking homemade Kombucha. I am i a facebookgroupe here in Denmark “Kefir and Kombucha” – and there I was reading about Your company. … And now I have giving my first order.
Michelle –
I shared the code with the kefir and kombucha group on Facebook and had to order an extra starter myself as I make too much yoghurt apparently, Hahaha.
Stephen Mann –
Just tried kefir.
Excellent. The stuff in the supermarket tastes and smalls ghastly by comparison.
I have found that UHT milk is fine although perhaps lass tasty, but I like it.
Small milk bottles from a well-known burger chain, (think clown), are exactly a quarter of a litre and really useful.. They can be stood on/in base of Amazon Basics yogurt maker, 4 at a time, open, but with an inverted translucent flower pot over the top to keep the dust off. This I have used for some 4 hours at the start of the process to get it going a bit quicker..then just turn off the power and leave until morning, kefir is “done”, put plastic caps on and into fridge!
Hope someone might find this useful.
Gunter –
Thick sour and tasty.
Stephen M –
Have just tried the Kefir starter. Very good. Much nicer than the terrible stuff from the local shop!
Out of interest, I did use UHT milk. I always use it for yogurt with a little dried milk powder, but for kefir, added nothing.
Started it off in a 1.5 litre jar on the base of my yogurt maker, just to warm it up a bit for 3 hours..then left it, covered loosely. 12 hours later, warm milk! So, gave so another three hours with yog’ maker turned on, then switched off and went to bed. In the morning, splendid! Nice and gloopy and tasted fine. Probably didn’t need that long. Thought you might be interested. So UHT works, but a bit slower.
Might add a bit of honey to get the children interested..
How long might it keep in the fridge?
Can I keep a bit back as a starter? I think I saw that I can, but can’t find it now!
Thanks for a great product.
Kim –
yes I know it is not heirloom but as we have chatted about before it can be done a few times 🙂
I will keep you updated, and you have right I love the kefir starter 🙂
Fred Knox –
My kefir starter arrived yesterday and I’m making my first batch. How much of my first batch should I use to make my next batch? And can I keep it going indefinitely as I do with your fabulous yogurt culture?
Nnenna –
I have tried the Kefir … its fantastic… Tangy thick and creamy.
Thanks a lot. Will get back to you with more orders soon.
Catherine Ellul –

Firstly I am amazed by the super fast response. I love the Kefir starter. My ethnic heritage is Latvian where kefir is also held in high regard. I am well aware of the health benefits and also love the taste. As far as I can ascertain Bulgarian Kefir is the best of them all.
Dak –
A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

Just wanted to let you know this kefir really is fantastic – we really do like it, contrary to the “normal” kefir :).

Just successfully fermented kefir culture on soy milk. Very smooth and creamy texture and thick but not so thick (because of the non-dairy milk)
Joan –
It turned out amazingly thick and soooo delicious! I just wrote my review about your kefir on my blog and I really hope you like it 🙂
