The very first jar of kefir turned out perfect, smooth, good taste, and had enough kefir grains to make my second jar. Sense than I make a kefir every day. My entire family enjoy it, and so do I.
Thank you Ivo

I love your site and attitude of helping people to produce probiotic dairy foods at the most economical cost in their own kitchen.
Have been producing my own kefir for 5 1/2 years. Initially from powdered starter, then from kefir grains purchased from largest raw milk dairy in California. Lastly, developed a micronized form of kefir grains capable of reproducing kefir from a prior kefir batch. For past 3 1/2 years have used this method producing almost 400 identical consecutive batches.
Kim Ireland –
Hi Ivo,
When I started making my own kefir from kefir grains 5 1/2 yrs ago, amazing things happened. In first month, lost 20 pounds, arthritis in right hand disappeared, and planter faciatis on right foot healed. And most amazingly, have been inflammation free for these past 5 1/2 yrs. Use no medication or supplements for that matter. Rely on fermented food at every meal and omnivore diet free of GMO. And was born just a couple months before Pearl Harbor attack. Interested in your Kefir and yogurt at this time.
Best,
Kim
Maria –
Thank you for your information also on the website under the tab about.
Many questions where answered that.I had.
The kefir goes well and taste very good!
Elaine Edge –
We are making the kefir according to instructions on your website, and it always comes out very thick (too thick to drink). Still tastes fabulous (and makes a huge amount if mixed with water!)
Norbert Goldbergs –
We are using now an electric yogurt maker and its doing fine. The only thing is that we need to use the starter a little more than the recommended amount to reach the thickness we want.
The result is very good for the yougurt as well as for the kefir, which is our favorite. We switch one week we make yougurt and the other kefir.
Stuart –
Will be placing an order soon- we make kefir and yoghurt here, but it lacks the ” zing” of the Bulgarian yoghurt we made while living in Madrid! Yours rocks!

In England I was put on life long penicillin because I have no spleen, I now live in Spain where they do not believe I should be on penicillin (after 15 years). I am now off penicillin and on a mission to replace my gut bacteria. Being a vegan I thought it a good idea to make my own diary free probiotic yogurt.

Thank you for the kefir ferment, I make it in a thermoscan and in one time it was super tasty, much better than in the store.
About the yoghurt it was hard for me to hold the tempature. I tried everything: coolbox, thermoscan, oven.
At least I buy a yoghurt machine and now it was perfect in 6-8 hours, really great ! firm and smoothie.
With lactase druppels I make the milk first lactofree in 24 hours before I put in the ferment.
Bulgarian ferment is the best in the world and I am thankful you help distribute to the whole world.
Dave –
The Kefir was great! Just ate it up this morning.
It gets better and better in taste the longer you store it in the fridge.
I would say the “background taste” of the Kefir is kind of similar to the bulgarian yoghurt, but it has a decent kefir taste.
Wesley Brown –
Hi, the kefir starter is good. I have just ordered a 50L pack as a trial and come samples of the cheese
Lyle Jean Hadley –
I can’t imagine using any other starter for my yogurt and kefir!
Sif S. Broby Madsen –
The nummer one reason: that I really like yoghurt and its really good for the health in any way. I have just read some books about how important and healthy it is for both the brain and body.
I have water kefir, scoby( Kompucha) and make my own fermentet vegetables, and now I also just want to try to make my own both yoghurt and milk-kefir….
And.. I find it better to make ny own yoghurt also to spare the envirronment for All the plasticbottles.. And a friend recommended you
Stacey Reichardt –
Can’t wait for it. Stuff in the store is okay, but making my own is super special.
gabriele –
Ok, got it, thanks. Yes, it is definitely sweeter, I guess that’s why I like it better. Thanks
again…I’m ready to start a new batch NOW!!
Jane –
I eat kefir mousse for ‘morning tea’ every day. The kefir adds healthy bacteria and yeast to my gut and the Bulgarian yogurt feeds that bacteria and yeast. A great symbiotic combination.
Bulgarian yogurt contains two cultures that work naturally well together and have a positive effect on the gut whereas commercial yogurt cultures contain two bacteria that don’t work well together and can be quite detrimental to the gut.
Those two bacteria are present in kefir but as they are combined with 50+ other bacteria and yeasts they work well in kefir but not in yogurt.
It’s these nuances that can make or break ones efforts to be restore good health to the gut.
Changing from the wrong culture to the right culture is a step in the right direction.
John Rhodes –
I have been using your yogurt and kefir starters for about a year!
Gabriele –
The kefir turned out great…VERY tasty. I had to restrain myself from not devouring a whole quart in one day! LOL
Thank you you for a great product! Gabriele
Liz Lawton –
Thanks, everything is ok. I’ve been making Kefir rather than yogurt but did get a sample recently of your rose yogurt which I will be trying soon.
Thanks

Hi Ivo,
Its just coming out of winter over here in Australia so no holidays as yet, will probably head off to Tasmania (island off the bottom of Australia) for another visit just love the scenery
down there, its the best I have experienced so far. Having great success using your Yoghurt, Kefir, Sirene & Bulgarian Kashkaval starters. Have found that by adding a few drops of
calcium Chloride & a heaped desert spoon of milk powder to supermarket milk it lifts the end result to a new level, equal to what I experience when using milk straight from a dairy, this is something other users might find interesting. I am also using Bulgarian Kashkaval starter to make different types of cheddar style cheeses with very pleasing results.
Regards,
Rob

I have a lot of patients who suffer from Warts and Verrucas, so I’m hoping by recommending your Kefir it will help to boost their immune system.
I have one elderly gentleman friend who attends my church, he’s not up to making his own Kefir, but after trying mine is now buying from the supermarket. I appreciate it’s not as good, but needs must. The good news is he is feeling so much better and now may escape surgery for the Hiatus Hernia, at 86, he’s delighted.
Marva –
I am intrigued by your product and REALLY want to try it.
Elaine –
Hi Ivo
Yes we have made it – so far 5 times from the packet you sent – the rest is in the freezer. We love it, it tastes gorgeous.
Incidently I do have a query – I like to put some salt in it (so it is almost like a salty laissi (in Indian cuisine))
But as salt can be an anti-septic I was concerned that adding salt might destroy the beneficial bacteria/pro biotics. Could you please clarify this for me?
Also how long will it keep in the freezer?
Best regards and thanks
Maureen Gillanders –
Hello Ivo, As I said in my previous review, I preferred the yogurt Kefir than the drink. It is a more acquired taste and I find the yogurt more versatile. I will continue to buy the Kefir yogurt granules and recommend both to clients and friends.
Arthur –
Thanks for reply .. oh that is really good .. it is almost looks the same as yogurt .. awesome .. no problem than .. that is funny .. I was thinking that I maybe did something wrong .. awesome .. we will be working on getting it promoted here in the Philippines.
gabriele –
Found out about you from Jordan & Steve (SCD Diet). Number one reason I MAKE yogurt & kefir is for gut health. I avoid buying supermarket versions
Maureen Gillanders –
Brilliant results, thank you. I now use your frozen grains of Kefir. So far I have only made it with Dairy milk, delicious with the full fat gold top. I’ve avoided dairy for many years, I suffer from leaky gut and numerous food intolerances caused by a compromised
immune system due to severe Glandular Fever and meningitis 50 years ago. Dairy has always caused an increase in mucous production, however this doesn’t seem to be the case with the kefir.
I have also been a sufferer of severe daily headaches, what I call ‘food headaches’ , these have greatly reduced since taking enjoying Kefir, reducing painkillers from 10 daily to 2.
I have always been a great fan of supplements, from Cytoplan in particular, however they are expensive, so I’m hoping I can cut some out thanks to the Kefir.
I have also suffered from acid reflux and inflammation of the alimentary canal, largely due to taking Ibuprofen on an empty stomach. Thanks to the Kefir and Turmeric, I don’t take any Ibuprofen, so the inflammation has settled down and the acid reflux has virtually gone. I think with time, my intestines will completely heal.
Although I am a very active person I have even more energy and generally feel better than I have for years.
I have already recommended Kefir and your products to several friends, 2 in their eighties, suffering from acid reflux.
My daughter uses the standard form of culture, not frozen, but I think I prefer to make the yogurt. She has recently fought off an ear infection in 24 hours and is convinced the Kefir has boosted her immune system.
I’m going to New Zealand for a month in January, I’m hoping I’ll be able to buy some Kefir when there, I would miss my daily dose.
If only doctors would realise the importance of a healthy gut, the NHS wouldn’t be so stretched as half the medication prescribed wouldn’t be necessary.
Please feel free to use any part of this rather lengthy response as a review. If you had a star rating system, I’d give it a 10.
Kind regards
Maureen Gillanders (71 years young)
PS I’ve also lost weight which is always a good thing.
Maureen Gillanders –
Hello Ivo,
Thank you for that info, very informative. I keep spreading the success I’m having with your products.

The Kefir was good, it turned out more like yoghurt though (I must have added too much maybe). I used it to make smoothies and it was very tasty.
PAULINE STRAUSS –
Dear Ivo,
I have been making kefir for several years, for the benefits of its probiotic qualities.

Hi Ivo
The kefir is great. Thick, creamy and tasty. I have even frozen it when i was on holiday and it came back just the same.
Regards
Greg
Sue Gough –
Love the kefir! I most often make my kefir on pure coconut water. Seems there is just enough sugar content to feed the starter.
Mounir Charkawi –
Great customer service.
Alok Asthana –
Have made yogurt as well as kefir from your sample. The yogurt is delicious – thick and tasty. The Kefir, too, is thick as is the yogurt!
Liz Lawton –
I like the taste and I am aware of the good yoghurt and Kefir does to my tummy. A friend told me about you.
Juan A.Canoura Sr –
Dear Mr. IVO, I don’t buy YOGHURT, I made it at home I prefer this way because is only be MILK AND BACTERIAS, no preservative of any kind. Also I eat YOGHURT and KEFIR (I made it too) because of the nutritional properties that benefit health in all ways.
Caroline –
I don’t buy yoghurt any more as I make my own kefir.
The reason I’ve decided to try your kefir is that I heard it is tastier than normal kefir.
The main reason I eat kefir and yoghurt is health/microbiome.
Dusan Burian –
kefir and yogurt were good. In the future I will buy more.
Diana Wilson –
Много обичам кефир и с удоволствие си поръчах. Стана вкусен, много гъст, като кисело мляко
Olga Leychkis –
Our kefir production works!
