Hi Ivo, all is good. I’m still working through the cultures that I’ve bought over the last year or so and am currently experimenting with a yoghurt I’ve produced from Yakult. It seems to have some interesting health benefits.

Still early days but the most positive results in two years. I am so unbelievably happy, to know I can be self sufficient in the one food I can consume it’s such a wonderful feeling. I am eating 500 ml of my own and 500 ml of farm raw yoghurt. At the moment I want to repeat exactly what is working , each time I have carefully measured out sour cream starter using my spoon ( bought from a very nice person called Ivo!!!) . I know I can use culture by mixing in yoghurt but I want to just keep doing what is working. Can I order a large quantity of sour cream or several Packets for a special price at all? I thought I would email first before placing an order.

I have now had the sour cream culture for 6 days in a row , 250 ml a day. At this stage absolutely no reaction and I’m managing to get a thin yoghurt consistency that I really like the taste of. I would like to increase to 500 ml a day but maybe it’s too much of a jump so I will try going up by 50 ml each day for the 5 days and really hoping fingers crossed that I won’t react . It’s certainly the most effective culture that we have experimented with so far

I have made yogurt using your starter quite often and with the last order made sour cream and kefir and I am really happy with the results. I don’t think I will ever buy sour cream again!

Thanks for your help! I’ve enjoyed using the bulgarian, and sour cream and buttermilk ones. Tried filmjolk as well but not sure if I like the taste. Will have to try
another batch to see if the funny taste was due to my jar lid carrying some scents.
But I was eager to share the cultures with my friend in Singapore who likes experimenting with such things too.
