Received my first batch of yoghurt culture on Friday. Made the first batch of yoghurt over the weekend using whole milk. The texture and consistency is vastly different to what I’m used to, so thick and creamy, to say I’m pleased is an under statement. As you say, it just works !!
I shall most definitely be back for some more culture when I need it.

My yoghurt machine makes 1.5 litres. This requires 2 gr of starter.
The first attempt failed, 10 hours at 40C. It did not set, so I added another 10 gr to the same milk.
After 10 more hours the yogurt was set.

I tried making yoghurt from full cream milk and almond milk. the result is like soft pudding. I loved it, not like store bought ones. I did a 24 hour fermentation. I m still testing is it really safe for my gastric problem. Thanks for asking.

As to your product we are very happy with the yogurt in particular which has that typical Bulgarian sour note we particularly like. However I must admit once we ran out of your
product I now make it using half a jar of your made yogurt which works just fine as the culture.
On the kefir I have never tried your product which I think is sitting in our freezer! I bought it as I thought I had lost my culture but what ever went wrong corrected itself and I just never have got round to using your product!
So we are very happy with your products just use them in a different way.

Great yogurt! I just made the second batch using a bit from the first batch to start it – delicious! I do mine for 8 hours in the Instant Pot and it’s perfect!

I think that It is great. I make asidophilus & bifidus too. I make them separate. I want mix them, but I don’t know is it okay. Greek youghurt includes asidophilus and bulgarian, but not bifidus. I wonder could them mix together A & B and Bulgarian. It’s a little hard to make them separate at the same time.

I order some of your Bulgarian starter this morning. I am currently having trouble making yogurt using starter from a competitor I found a couple of years ago. I had to stop making yogurt early 2018 due to health problems. The instructions for making yogurt from the other company have changed and I am not having any success.

Everything is fine. In fact I placed and received my second order last month and it was for a larger quantity. I make an average of 1 litre a week using about 1/4 tsp plus a couple of tbsp from my last batch. I still have enough for two batches left from my first order. I learned with time and experience that the minimum time to set firm is 7 hours vs my other culture at 5 but that’s ok.

My last attempt at producing Bulgarian yogurt was successful, however, I think that it came out a little too acid. Is there anything I sould/should do to make the next “production” less acid? Can I use whey as a starter, and if so, how much? Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

The yogurt turned out gut like the first time. After the first go with the starter I do the yogurt with the rest of the previous one and it works:
