I buy your yogurt starter. I like the yogurt (I have a half gallon in the fridge at the moment), but I find the envelope it comes in hard to work with to get the accurate amount of starter out.
So I am thinking, when I receive future purchases, of transferring the starter from the envelope to a small glass jar with a screw top that will make it easier to work with, and I believe will be air tight.
to keep in the freezer.

Dear Ivo,
we work in West Africa. I had the order shipped to my parents in Germany, to be forwarded with other goods to Africa.
My wife is normally breeding yogurt for many months, and the culture only dies when we need to travel and shut down our refrigerator (and our cool-box for the car has just broken, it was nice for several years, but the roads are bad and I believe the fan-bearings are shot).
