I had such success and was so thrilled to be making yogurt from dry ingredients ! (I use powdered milk)

Made another batch using starter from the first batch two or so weeks ago. The second batch turned out very good. Firm and very little whey! A little tart. Maybe I let it ferment too long. Next batch drop to a limit of 8 hours.

Hello, I just received your Bulgarian yogurt starter which I purchased through Amazon Canada. I’ve tried everything over the years to make vegan yogurt, specifically SOY MILK yogurt since both of my children are dairyallergic, but they’ve all failed either being too runny/liquid or tasting off or require the addition of starches/gels/etc. I will be making my own soy milk so that the only ingredients are soybeans and water since store bought brands contain ingredients that can prevent the yogurt from culturing properly.

Hi Ivo, the reasons I like yogurt is both for it’s probiotic content and nutrients. Unfortunately, both of my children are allergic to all dairy milk and so I’ve been trying to perfect non-dairy yogurt specifically with soy milk. Store brands of non-dairy/vegan yogurts are disgustingly sweet and full of more starches and other thickeners than the actual vegan milk itself with very little probiotic content. I’ve also tried making homemade soy yogurt with store bought soy milk and (expensive!) vegan yogurt culture starters that either never work or have an off taste.
So this will be my official last try with your starter. I’ll also be making my own soy milk to avoid any chemicals interfering with the culturing process, so the only ingredients will be
soybeans and water. Thank you.
