We eat yogurt every day to help our digestive systems with GOOD bacteria. We tried the method of using a cup from a previous yogurt (one bought at Trader Joes) and it worked mostly. Then it didn’t one batch. So, we went looking for a better way. What was exciting about Bacillus Bulgaricus (when we went online searching for a “yogurt starter”) was that 1) it was freeze dried and we could buy ahead and then keep in the freezer until needed, and 2) it had GREAT bacteria in it…nothing that would over-proliferate in the gut and cause MORE issues. We ordered a small packet, tried it, and were sold. We love it. There are only two of us, but we make it every two weeks faithfully.

So I presume you must be Bulgarian, I am too even though I currently live in the US. It goes without saying that I miss our native yogurt and even though there are a few Bulgarian owned businesses who make it here in the states it has become harder to find it especially with the current market shortages. I’ve made my own from cultures which friends have shared with me but I’m very excited to try yours. As a matter of fact, you might really be pleasantly surprised to hear that I was referred to your site by my brother who lives in Australia! He loves your product and highly recommended it to me, so I decided to give it a try!
Only thing I wish when I ordered my “free sample” (graciously provided by you) that I tried the Caspian Sea yogurt, instead of the Kashkaval culture, so if you could swap that for me that will be great, Im really curious how it differs from our Bulgarian yogurt. But if it’s too difficult I understand, I’ll do it in my next order.
I really appreciate your attention to detail and can’t wait to receive my order soon!

I just made some of the bacillus bulgaricus yogurt a few days ago. I haven’t made it in years, so I was astonished by how good it is. I’d forgotten! Well, life is much more settled now, so I intend to make it frequently! Thanks so much for the quality product.

I lived in Bulgaria about 15 years ago and grew a love for it then and have been making my own yogurt for about 12 years. I’m hoping to return to Bulgaria this summer if things work out
