I love yogurt for a few reasons…
For the health benefits of course.
I would love to make it for the taste also (I don’t like the taste of store bought vegan yogurt)
Don’t like the additives they put in either. Also many of them use faba bean water which is a severe allergy for me.
I tasted homemade soy yogurt while away living in a community recently, I even helped make it and it was so good.
They used a very large styrofoam cooler with pressure locks on it. Put hot water bottles inside it with the containers of mixture. They provided yogurt for about 50 people on a daily basis so they made a large quantity. About 16 litres of soy milk was used at a time.
I would like to make it for my family as they love yogurt.
One of my daughters may not eat it as she is a strict vegan. I will need to check with the others too, but they might be okay knowing there is no animal product left in the finished product!
Thank you for replying,
Thank you for the book Ivo. I eat very little dairy; I am almost vegan. I’ve decided a little dairy is good and yogurt is probably the best low fat and healthiest option.
i LOVE Bulgarian Joghurt. Today i sell an joghurt maker and want to start the production with my lovely sort. So i find you in internet
Best wishes from me
The starter is great.
I grew up eating homemade yoghourt in the Middle East. I’ve been making it myself and taught my children to appreciate the unadulterated taste of homemade yoghourt with all its health benefits of probiotic cultures.
I am Armenian and in our culture Yoghourt is an essential part of our diet. My family comes from a region of the Middle East where Yoghourt originated. Now I pass that healthy custom onto my grandchildren who also love yoghourt.
I love it! The reasons for loving it are that I can make it as tart as I like, it has no fillers, sugar, or other junk in it, and I can control when I make it.
Also, especially now, it is more economical than buying the better yogurts, which is big.
Also, I can make it using raw milk from the farm. It’s an all around good thing.
Another big deal is that your starters are actually affordable and unpretentious.

Tastes great, a healthy snack, easy to include in breakfast, good source of protein, you can add many things to it, good marinade for chicken, add it to stews to add complexity, not expensive, very versatile. Good for losing weight as well.

For the health benefits! And it helps that I love it.
And I bought the starter from you because you have a pure Bulgarian heirloom mix, nothing else added.
