In Indian homes, we make our own yogurt using a table spoon of fresh yogurt as I starter.
Unfortunately, market yogurt in the US gives a slightly sour taste to fresh made yogurt. Your starter doesn’t do that. It has little to no sour taste even after a few days of making it. It’s just plain sweet and creamy. That’s why I prefer your starter.

I grew up w/ dairy farms near by as well as own cows for a few years. We made made our own Butter, Buttermilk and Kefir. I’ve always loved Buttermilk and missed the homemade Dairy roducts that also included chesses. Till I found Bacillus Bulgaricus. I drink the store buttermilk, eat the yogurt only because I have to. Now with your delicious products and goodness of Costco Milk… I can enjoy them again!
But… like most today… I mainly eat Yogurt for Probiotics benefits!

Years ago I tried a local made yogurt for the first time and I loved it. Over the years I have wanted to try and make it myself. I have been making milk kefir and now I want to make homemade yogurt. So I am hoping to find one that is helpful for my digestion. Hi Ivo,
I decided to make my own yoghurts for 3 reasons:
1- In Italy, the price of yoghurts is prohibitive
2- Commercial yoghurts have often dismal nutritional properties and I take great care with my diet
3- I consume lactose free products because I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome

I´ve watched a video at youtube and it was mentioned that one possible effect of consuming yogurt is a healthy and long life.
Also, it was mentioned that a guy called Elie Metchnikoff in the early 1900 was very interested in the long and healthy life of bulgarian people.He was a very smart guy and won a Nobel Prize.
